For this module, we were tasked with creating UI elements for a game and genre of our choice, this meant we needed to make 6 front end UI elements such as Title screen, settings page and other genre specific pages as well as a HUD for the game. This UI could be done for a genre of our choosing, allowing me to chose one that I was familiar with, which I chose an FPS game.

This led to me making a UI for an FPS game which included front end pages of: a title screen, loading page, menu page (including the multiplayer page), game mode selection page and settings pages for graphics and controls. Then for the front end I created a HUD and pause menu. This gave me the basics of an FPS games UI elements and with enough functionality that would allow me to smoothly transition between the pages.

Having very basic knowledge of UI elements from previous university projects, this was a great learning experience and way to improve on what I already knew. I managed to grow my skills from very simple plain UI buttons to better detailed and designed pages that used better functionality and renewability throughout the project allowing for quick iteration and ease of use throughout it.

Overall, this module and project improved my UI skills giving me more comfort for when I'm challenged with UI elements in the future whether they are for HUD or front end.
